And now...the rest of the story...

Wednesday we didn't do much because it was rainy outside. It was definitely a day to stay in and try to pack some things...so I did. Thursday we ran a few errands b/c we just had to get out of the house. Bucky has been getting up earlier and napping rather strangely for the past few days so our schedule is a little off right now. We went to dinner with my family that night because my mom left for Disney on Friday and we like to get together before someone leaves. Today we were supposed to go to the zoo with some friends but it was windier than any of us expected and since we are all nursing post-cold babies, we all decided to cancel for today. We can use our cheap tickets any day so we are trying to reschedule. Bucky and I did go to DJ and Alisa's for dinner tonight. She is such a good cook so I am trying to learn some tips from her for when I have a family to cook for again. Sorry so crappy with pictures lately but that unfortunately has not been at the top of my mind. I'll try better next week :)

Busy Week so Far

So far we have been active every day. Monday we went to Melanie and Evelyn's house for a playdate. It was a beautiful day (actually a little warm) and she left her back door open so the kids could go in and out as they pleased. I just sat outside and enjoyed the weather and conversation. This morning we had Toddler Time at the library. Bucky still has trouble sitting still for the readings but just laughed and laughed when we were dancing at the end. He wouldn't do it on his own so I held him for most of it and he loved it. Tonight we took some things over to DJ and Alisa's house in preparation for our yard sale in two weeks. We ended up staying for dinner - Alisa made fried rice with beef, carrots, egg and peas - it was very yummy and Bucky really seemed to enjoy it. We don't have anything planned until Friday if the weather is nice - we are going to the Zoo with our friends. I'll try to keep everyone better up to date with what's going on with us.

Toddler Skate

We had another round of Toddler Skate last Friday. Bucky always seems to enjoy this so much so I try to go if we can. This time he even got in the bouncy house by himself and he really enjoyed running around and falling and jumping. He is feeling better and better each day and the meds seem to be helping him recover from his sinus infection.

Balloons Balloons Everywhere

Bucky and I met Jimmy and Anna at the mall last week for lunch and walking around. It was our way of getting the boys out of the house without being in the Florida version of sub-zero weather. (It was about 40-50 degrees). After eating, we went to Pocket Change so the boys could play in the balloon pit. Bucky absolutely loved it once he got used to it. At first I thought it was going to be another waste of $2 but it was worth that and more to watch him having so much fun. Jimmy, on the other hand, was running around like crazy and Anna was sweating by the time we left. We had to tell him to "get Bucky" so he would go in the balloons but then he would quickly depart after he found him. They also enjoyed playing basketball but our backs couldn't handle lifting them up more for more than two games - imagine this: squat, lift 26 lb weight over your head and help him aim at the basket, return to squat position - never let him hit the ground. Jimmy weighs more so I know Anna was feeling it too. The pictures are not the best because all I had available was my phone and he was constantly moving...but I had to get some pictures of him having so much fun :)

So Sleepy...

Bucky was being very good this morning as I was trying to get a few things organized before we left the house. He was already sleepy but I didn't want him down too early for his nap because that makes the evening seem to last sooooo long. He became very quiet so I peeked in on him in the living room. Apparently he discovered a new, more comfortable way to watch TV.

Entering 2009

This year will be better. I am determined to reach the goals I have set for me and my family no matter what. They are not big goals because failure will surely ensue if the goal is too large. But enough about that...

Bucky and I went to Pier Park on New Year's Eve to enjoy the nonexistent festivities. There were two bouncy houses in a dark "alley" and that was about it for his age. We watched the band for a little while but it made me nervous as more people gathered since I was the only one keeping an eye on my child. He was not content to sit in his stroller as I walked up and down the streets so we went home shortly after arriving. He was in bed by 8:30 PM but I did manage to stay awake until the ball drop. No toasting, no singing, just me and the TV. Fun, Fun...
