Returning to PC

For those who don't know, we are heading to Atlanta next Sun, Apr 5 for a couple of days and then we will be driving to PC after that. We are planning to be in PC from the 7th to the 13th and then driving back to TX. If the weather doesn't appear to be very good, we will head back early to allow for plenty of travel time. Look forward to seeing as many of you as we can while we are there. If anything changes we will let you know through the blog or via email.

Return from San Antonio

Sunday we went to the Alamo and The Children's Museum. Bucky did pretty good at the Alamo but really enjoyed the museum. There weren't many people there so he was able to run free and play with whatever he wanted. That night, we ate at Hard Rock Cafe on the Riverwalk and finished our evening with another stroll on the river. Monday morning we stopped at the Natural Bridge Caverns for a tour and then headed home. All in all, we had a great eventful, yet relaxing weekend.

Here are a few select pictures from the many, MANY we have taken :)

San Antonio, part 1

We are having a great time in San Antonio! When we arrived on Friday, we headed straight for downtown and Riverwalk. The river was still green from St. Patrick's Day and there were a lot of people there. It was a beautiful afternoon for a stroll. From there we went to our hotel to check in, take a quick nap, and head to dinner at Ruth's Chris Steak House. Today we went to Sea World around 1030 and stayed until 300. Bucky really had a good time and enjoyed watching the shows. He stayed awake the entire time but fell asleep as we were walking to the car :). Tonight we just ordered pizza at the hotel because we were all wanting to stay inside. Buck's wireless internet is messed up so no pictures yet but I'll borrow a computer when we get back to Killeen.

San Antonio here we come...

I know it's been a while but internet is not as readily available as I thought it would be so bear with us as we transition to our new life in Texas. We are taking a mini-vacation this weekend to San Antonio since Buck has a four day weekend. Hopefully I will find a way to get some pictures uploaded so everyone doesn't forget what we look like :). We all miss everyone but definitely haven't forgotten anyone. Look forward to seeing some of you when we finish up our moving. Like I said...I'll try to get some pics up (hopefully this weekend if there is internet in the room). Until then...

Buck's Homecoming

Update: Buck called about 415 this morning and they have landed in Maine. He's STATESIDE!!! At the time, the plane was refueling and restocking and then the soldiers would load back on to head to Fort Hood. He's almost to his post but at least he's in the US :)

Hiland Park Rec Center

We had another playdate at Hiland Park Rec Center yesterday morning and Bucky had such a great time. There were a lot of familiar and new faces so it was nice to get to socialize with a lot of different people. After playing at the park, he sat down and ate lunch and then we headed home.

Gymnastics

Monday, we had a playgroup at Gymnastics Plus. Most of the kids were around Bucky's age and they all seemed to immensely enjoy it...I know Bucky did :) It started with some group warmups, then proceeded to the trampoline, went to the "free" area, and then back to group at the end. Bucky really had a great time with all the equipment. He even did his first tumble (with some help). It seemed like he was willing to try anything. There was a large parachute at the end and all the kids got on for a spin but most did not enjoy this activity. I think it traumatized about 90% of them so it was cut short. Gymnastics is definitely something I will have to look into once we get to Texas since he had such a great time!!

Mmmm...Yummy

I made cupcakes yesterday to give Bucky a treat. He loved them. After he finished the first one, he asked for more ("mi, mi, mi") so I gave him another, both with icing of course. Well, apparently he really enjoyed the icing because when he was done, I noticed he only ate the icing from the second cupcake. That's my boy!! :D He also grabbed the Mardi Gras beads off the chair and decided to put them on his head. The massive amounts of sugar was getting to him already, I think.
