A Couple More Days
We returned from travelling on Monday (13th) night. On Tuesday I took Bucky to Book Babies and left Buck to chill out at the house for an hour or so. Then we ran errands and walked around a little. That night we met up with Anna, Allan, and Jimmy Branch and Hubbell, Kevin, and Chase King for dinner at Los Rancheros. Buck loves the white cheese sauce for the chips. Bucky was fussier than usual...we both think it was from all the travel and his sleep schedule being kinda crazy for a week. It was nice to have dinner with their families because usually it is moms and kids only. We had a good time. Wednesday night we met Lynn and Mike at Sonny's for some BBQ - Buck said he had been thinking about it for a long time so he got to pick the place. It was delicious!! Bucky began fussing again but he calmed down quickly when I took him outside to let him walk around a little - I think he's just tired of sitting. We had a great time that night too but had to cut it a little short because it was time to take Bucky home and put him in bed.
Visiting with Family
We took a week out of Buck's already short R&R to travel to visit with family and friends. First stop...Atlanta. Buck's grandparents live just north of Atlanta so we stayed with them for a few days. We had a good visit and were able to help them accomplish a few things while we were there. On one of the days his cousins, Roth and Natalie, came to visit and Natalie brought Evan who is almost a year old. Bucky seemed cautious at first b/c he had just woken from his nap but they quickly began playing together. After their visit we went to see the Easleys, our close friends. We had dinner at their house - yummy home-made fried chicken. Bucky enjoyed playing with their 2 year old dtr, London, and their 4 yr old son, CJ. The night after this we went to Micah's football game...Micah is their oldest child; he is a senior in high school. We had planned to leave at half time but the game was so good we stayed the whole time. His team lost unfortunately but it was still very exciting until the last few minutes. We all enjoyed watching the action and Buck even took Bucky to the home side so he could watch the bands at halftime. Bucky was perfecting saying "touchdown" and throwing his hands in the air.
On to Birmingham...we went to Pinson, AL after the game Friday night to visit Buck's sister, Mischa, and her family. We watched Triston's football game on Saturday...they won by a lot!! Yay Triston!!! We couldn't believe how big the kids had gotten since last Christmas - it was amazing!! Kaela has started Kindergarten and Scott turned 4 in August. While we were there, Buck's bro-in-law gave me a telephoto lens to try out so I'm sure many pictures will follow. We had a good visit with them also but we were glad to get home.

Oktoberfest
We decided at the last minute to go to Oktoberfest in Downtown PC. We were both very glad we went after all was said and done. Although it was very hot, it was a nice walk and we enjoyed looking at everything. We even got a caricature (sp?) done of all three of us. I'll take a pic of it later and post it for anyone interested.

A Full Day
On October 3rd, we did several things. We ran errands in the morning, did crazy things around the house, and then went to Destin to eat dinner at McGuire's (very yummy). We were worn out by the time bedtime came.

A Walk in the Park
The next evening, Buck and I decided to take Bucky to a park so we could walk and enjoy the peaceful evening. Bucky was restless at home so he had a good time getting some fresh air and running around.
Buck's Homecoming
For those of you who don't know, Buck has been in town since September 28th. Here are a few pictures from his first day back in the states. Bucky seemed to attach to him quicker than we both expected.
